About Me

Photography and travel are not just passions—they are how I move through life.
They make me stay open, curious, and grounded in what is real—yet they also draw me into another dimension, where observation becomes interpretation, and reality quietly shifts into something more personal.

Images have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching films that shaped how I see—Italian neorealism by De Sica and Rossellini, with their raw humanity and everyday tragedies, and the gentle optimism of Frank Capra’s America, where dignity lives in ordinary people.
From the family albums came the need to hold on to what might otherwise be forgotten—without overlooking the atlases always left open on the kitchen table, which fed my urge to look outward. And I am sure my love for light and color came, in part, from the prints on our walls: Degas’s dancers, Renoir’s scenes of daily life, Lautrec’s portraits of people on the margins. These images stayed with me—and blend, even now, with my background in history and law shaping how I look at people and context.

My work moves between street photography, portraiture, and storytelling—three approaches that often merge.
Color is central, not as decoration but as structure. It shapes perception, holds space, and reveals tensions that words cannot reach.

In a field where energy and surprise often take center stage, I am drawn to quieter dynamics. To images that unfold slowly. That stay close to reality without needing to shout.
What interests me are those in-between moments—instinctive, fragile. I try to stay open and attuned, letting the image come to me, rather than imposing myself on it.

Beyond the street, I pursue long-term personal projects that explore urgent social themes: the ongoing fight for gender equality, the lasting effects of racial and cultural discrimination, the shifting boundaries of identity, and our fragile relationship with a planet under strain.
I am an Italian photographer based in Rome, committed to a practice that is both socially conscious and artistically driven—where aesthetic choices are not just visual, but narrative, and where storytelling becomes a way of witnessing.
