Pop culture in the late 40ies -1950ies America.
It is a much sought after event taking place every summer in Italy since 2000 attracting thousands from all over Europe. For weeks (mid July-August) the streets are rife with people clad in 1950ies attire. Sounds of Boogie woogie, jitterbug and rock and roll fill the air. Car buffs show and ride their 1950ies Buicks, De Sotos, Chevrolets and many other American cars. It is a window on those bygone days. It is not only nostalgia nor a longing for an elegant and vibrant past. It is a life style that attracts and involves also many young people.
